The demo 9 rides a LOT better in the lower shock setting.

lower position makes the head angle slacker, more stable at high speed, and in turn better hitting, lower bottom bracket(cornering), and jump more stable. Although it will not be as manueverable in the tight stuff. But if your racing you don't really need that as much as a stable right and better cornering.

Bottom shock position is better for real dh riding.

Thank you for your input, but that is not a dent. You will notice in the other pictures there is one COMPLETELY SYMMETRICAL in every aspect to it on the other side. It is for foot clearance because it is such a tight and compact design.

Ummmm.... Do you even race downhill katoomer? It is just as expensive. Chains, lift tickets, race fees, new gear, seals, bearings, and that goes on and on if you race and do proper maintnence on your bike.
